Feeling Peckish

I was feeling rather peckish at work, when I remembered that, in what now looked like a brilliant amount of foresight, I had packed a muffin for myself.

This was a bit odd, because I haven’t made or bought muffins in quite a long time. I would suspect that the time was greater than a decade, but that just seems to be rather too dramatic to be true.  I must have had one with my coffee at some point in time.  I just cannot remember when.

I bought these particular muffins on Sunday while doing some grocery shopping. I don’t know why I bought them.  I should be watching what I eat and not adding more calories to my daily intake.  However, they are delicious and I only regret buying them while writing, but certainly not while eating them.

Despite my dieting dilemma, I have to admit that the muffin gave me the pick-me-up energy I needed to finish my teaching day. For that, if nothing else, makes it worthy of Today’s Perfect Moment.

In case you were wondering, the flavour is chocolate and banana.

I didn’t know the word ‘peckish’ was also used in Canada. Very common in Australia.
