We had to endure the slogan “Winter is coming!” earlier this year. Well, more ominously, Autumn is coming. How do I know this? Well, the picture above says it all. Leaves are already changing and some are even falling to the ground.
I was mowing my lawn earlier this evening–as one likes to do on a Thursday evening–and a passerby decided to share some wisdom with me.
He said, “At least this is probably the last time you’ll have to do that this year.” He then calmly sauntered off.
At that moment, I really needed a Hollywood camera close-up of me shaking my head. I highly doubt that will be the last time I cut the grass this year. It’s going to rain a lot in the next few weeks and the grass and weeds (because since the banning of pesticides) make up more of the grass than the grass actually does) are going to grow. Not to mention the fact that I will have bags of leaves to pick up.
I am going to stop before this becomes a rant.
