Today’s Perfect Moment is a continuation of yesterday’s Perfect Moment.
I wrote about being let in on the secret of the rooftop garden/patio. Today, I shared that with my girlfriend. On our way back home, I told a little white lie and asked her to follow me because I had to “pick something up.” I don’t think she was fooled because she had read the post earlier in the day and she didn’t even hesitate to follow me.
We spent about ten minutes of our evening wandering around the place and taking a few more photos. While it wasn’t uber romantic, it was nice.
I was a bit ticked off because the security guard came by and told me that the people who worked in the offices didn’t want me taking pictures of their buildings, but I was free to take pictures of the patio. First and foremost, it is a free country and I was on what seemed to be pretty public space. Also, their buildings are ugly and not photogenic in any way. I made a slightly different comment to the security guard and he walked away–no swearing, but probably sarcastic about the secrecy of the work the people were doing in those buildings and an out loud musing as to why they didn’t have blinds or curtains in their windows.
It was a bit muggy up those 4 or 5 floors, but definitely worth a little detour.
