Have you ever come across a snack item and thought, “That looks delicious. I should try that.” Then promptly walked away from it. It could be you balked at the price. It could be that you were distracted by something else. It could also be that you were on a diet and knew that this did not fit in with your plans. It could be that you said “next time”, not really believing it or disbelieving it. It was just a default setting.
Across the street from where I live there is a shop primarily targeted towards Asian people. However, they have enough great vegetables and other products to keep a variety of people happy. I often wander through the aisles looking for things. Despite my need for reduced caloric intake, I cannot help pass the cookie aisle from time to time (ahem).
One of the products I have often considered buying, but have not is pictured above. In this case, price is the main stumbling block. For it’s size, the price seems a little high. However, I wanted to bring dessert to a friend and I wanted something different. I also didn’t want anything that was large and lent itself to many days of eating. So after saying “next time” so many times, suddenly, it was “this time.”
I have to say, I thought it would be pretty good. The truth is, pretty good is nowhere near close enough of an adjective. It was incredibly delicious. It reminded me of Ferrero Rocher, only much, much better. It had so many wonderful tastes packed into a tiny cookie. Wow!
I may have to rethink my buying strategies.
