While on Facebook, hitting “like” on many of my friends’ posts, I noticed that someone had left me a message. Since this happens as rarely on FB as it does on my phone, I took notice. What I discovered was an interesting message from a friend and former colleague. She wrote that she was thinking of blogging and wanted my advice.
My first thought was to put her in touch with some of the more successful bloggers that I follow, but as I pondered, I started to feel quite proud (as well as happy and a whole slew of other positive emotions) that she asked me. I decided to give her my take on int. She was receptive and asked some very good questions.
We spend a bit of time typing back and forth and, not surprisingly, we both expressed our love of writing and creating. It seems that we both need a creative outlet. I know I certainly do. I know that blogging can be hard work, but anything worth doing usually requires an investment of time and energy. I might be guilty of poor editing, but certainly not a lack of passion for the subject.
I don’t know if she will follow up, but I really hope she does. I remember her passion and drive for teaching and I believe it will translate well into a blog. Adding to that, her life experience is definitely fascinating. I want to do anything to help her. I will definitely be posting a link to her blog when she starts writing it.
Most recently, people have been encouraging me to write things besides this blog and if you check out my post on my still somewhat vague New Year’s Resolutions, you’ll know that I intend to follow that advice.
So, just to set it down into concrete words, sharing a passion for writing with a friend is Today’s Perfect Moment.
Not able to sleep at two a.m. and reading your blog. Thanks Anthony 😉
You are welcome. Thank you for giving me yesterday’s perfect moment.
That’s so wonderful! I love making connections like that. Good on you!
