Tonight, owing to work generosity I found myself in a box (box suite) at a Junior A hockey game in Toronto. The Toronto Marlies were the Calder Cup Champions last year. They were far and away the superior team last year.
What a difference a year makes. Probably due to their success last year, this year’s team is having a little bit of trouble finding their skating legs and scoring prowess. In tonight’s game they lost 8-1.
As for me, I really liked going out to the game and sitting in a seat that I would rarely, if ever, find myself invited into. It wasn’t the big club, but it was the club of the young up and comers. Although, that probably doesn’t really describe team I saw attempt to play today.
I had a little beer and a box of poutine. Seems like an easy call for Today’s Perfect Moment.
