This day is probably devoid of a Perfect Moment, but in my best existentialist moment, perhaps the absence of a Perfect Moment is confirmation of its existence.
You see, the weather has been horrible since early Saturday morning. Not a blizzard, but snow that turned to ice as it hit the ground. Even now, most things are covered in ice, and nobody has shown any willingness to shovel it.
Usually weekends are full of essential projects that need getting done when the getting is good. If there is no time during the week, then there must be time during the weekend. However, this snow…I can’t call it a storm or a squall….and there is too much hyperbole in snowmaggedon or snowpocalypse…..whatever we call it, it basically kept a lot of people indoors this weekend. What that meant for me was a chance to stay indoors and work on some non-essential projects.
While that sounds perfect, it discounts the need to get some of those things done, and the guilt one might feel for not getting them done.
I guess we’ll call that a wash.
This weekend just left like a time warp! Are we back in December? Is it Christmas? lol Completely awful and treacherous conditions! I observed so many stalled vehicles and people struggling to get their cars going. Hopefully this will be the last of it and we can finally see spring! On the up side, it made for a great opportunity to binge watch a bunch of shows. lol Stay safe!
I saw what you ate, now I am curious as to what you watched?
haha oh a variety of shows on Netflix – too many to name though ‘iZombie’ was one of them – have you heard of it?
I have not heard of it…but there’s always next weekend.
We stayed inside and watched movies all day. It was SPECTACULAR!
The ice on the trees was really pretty…but my church cancelled their service due to icy conditions. It made me real sad cause it was my only chance to see everyone before heading to Mongolia 😦
Maybe they could throw you a special blessing ceremony……if they do that kind of thing.
How long are you going to be in Mongolia for?
Well, I left home this morning for the airport so there wasn’t any time to do anything, haha. I am cycling in Mongolia for a month, this is one of the routes Bekah and I plan to do http://www.bikepacking.com/routes/bikepacking-mongolia-khangai-mountains/
That is going to be awesome. I am so jealous right now. Have a great trip.
Thanks Anthony! I am so excited to finally make it to Asia 🙂
