Green Tea KitKats and more

My student brought in two bags of green tea KitKats today.

I was delighted, as were some of the students. Those who had never experienced them before were a bit confused.  While all agreed that the original was good, the other package contained a bitter green tea version, or should I say an even more bitter green tea version.

It turned out that she brought them for one student who, sadly was finished on Friday. He was a charming young Brazilian, who had expressed interest in the chocolates.  She seemed rather shocked that he was gone and probably regretted missing Friday’s class.

Sometimes, I forget that people can make a strong impression on other people, even in a short time.  Both students and teachers routinely change.  Maybe I have become a bit numb or even cynical.

So, you decide.  Was it chocolate or a subtle nudge against my cynicism Today’s Perfect Moment?

I’ll be honest, I don’t like Kit Kats! I know, it’s sacrilege, but there you go. However, someone gave me a mini Matcha Green Tea one and it was unbelievably scrummy.
