Neon Mornings

Vietnam 2017 408

As result of daylight savings time, mornings that had finally been showing wonderful signs of dawn have now been plunged back into darkness. Storefronts are signs that had paled in the early morning light once again shine bright, advertising their names and identities for all weary commuters to see.  Our progress towards work, so clearly marked.

It may be beautiful, but I would love to see the sun while drinking my coffee.

About Anthony

I am: equal parts rebel, romantic and shockingly average Joe. a writer trapped inside of an ESL teacher's body. an introverted attention seeker. a teacher who hopes one day to be called "Captain, my Captain." an intellectual who can do some very dumb things. a person whose Japan experience, despite being so long ago, still exerts a strong influence upon him. a lover of books, music, beer, hockey and Pizza.

I’m with you on preferring to see the sun while I drink my coffee, Anthony — but absent the sun, this neon sign seems like an OK replacement. Great shot!

The picture was taken in Hoi An Vietnam. I got the iron gates in the way of the shot. One other person in the group got one without the bars. I am not sure how.
The cross was actually a vibrant glowing red, but came out rather orange in this shot.
As for the sun…it is on the way.
