I wouldn’t honestly say my teaching was inspired today. It wasn’t bad either. When I talk about inspired teaching it usually means that I have come up with an activity or approach that really got the students talking and really made them work for the answers and kept their attention away from their phones. These moments have happened many times in my teaching, but not today.
That being said, I stand by my other comment. It wasn’t bad. I had a lesson plan and I executed it well. I got the desired result and many of the students were engaged. Importantly, my timing worked well and everything seemed to have a good flow.
So, if my teaching is not the Today’s Perfect Moment, to what could I apply the label? It certainly won’t be my agonizingly slow commute to work today
The moment is the one where my students said he couldn’t believe how fast time went by in my class. He was amazed at how he didn’t look at his watch the entire time and the time flew by. Class was over before he realized it.
I must be doing something right.
