Bloor Street by Night

The addition to the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) opened in 2007.  It certainly isn’t as controversial as the pyramid is at the Louvre, but it does raise some eyebrows.  I have even heard stories of it’s effect on the exhibits inside.  I have heard that is is ruining some items.  I honestly do not know if this is true.

What I do know is that at night, when walking towards it on Bloor street, it does indeed look spectacular.  It juts out onto the street and really can’t be ignormr-tonkatsued.

I took this picture after dinner with my friends but before the after dinner drinks. Sorry, I can’t show you those photos.  Dinner was Tonkatsu, one of my favourite Japanese dishes.  If you have never had it….you should.

About Anthony

I am: equal parts rebel, romantic and shockingly average Joe. a writer trapped inside of an ESL teacher's body. an introverted attention seeker. a teacher who hopes one day to be called "Captain, my Captain." an intellectual who can do some very dumb things. a person whose Japan experience, despite being so long ago, still exerts a strong influence upon him. a lover of books, music, beer, hockey and Pizza.
