Lessons in the Grocery Aisles

Today, I learned that I have been doing grocery shopping all wrong. Usually, I make a list (or not) and wander throughout the supermarket hoping to remember to check the list and not be tricked into buying all the wrong things.

Completely wrong.

Before you start explaining about proper shopping and sticking to your list–this isn’t what I am talking about. I know all about that.  I know that some of you out there can shop fantastically.  My friend Chris described his forays into the supermarket as that of a surgeon.  That all makes sense, but isn’t the focus of this blog post.

You see, today, I caught sight of a person pushing their cart and sipping on a cup of coffee. I saw it and it just seemed so right….so civilized.

I have a vague memory of someone shopping and sipping wine…It could be from a TV show or a single’s night at the supermarket…It sounds like a TV show, but maybe it wasn’t.

As for shopping with coffee, I just don’t want to stop at the coffee shop before I go there. I wonder if they would let me bring in my mug from home?

Nevertheless, Perfect Moment indeed.
