One great thing about a weekend morning, besides not having to heed the call of the alarm, is having time to drink my coffee. Perhaps I should say savour my coffee–but that sounds a little pretentious despite being true.
On an average weekday, I drink my coffee standing up in my kitchen. There doesn’t even seem to be time to sit down. While it is brewing, I pack my lunch bag, load up the cereal bowl, and check to see if I have enough book left for the commute or if I will need to bring another one. I’ve also got to feed and pay attention to the cat. I’ve also got to listen to the weather forecast and do a bunch of other mundane stuff. Basically, once the coffee is finished, I’ve got a few minutes to brush my teeth and blast out the door.
Weekends are different. I could take my coffee out to the deck and ease my way into the day. I could, like today, catch up my Jvloggers as well as read and comment on some of the posts here in WordPress. At the very least, I could sit down while I drink my coffee.
What I am trying to say is that it is necessary just to sit down, take a break, and take it all in–without feeling guilty for not go-go-going. Though others may disagree with me, the coffee certainly tastes better on the weekend.
Yes. Just yes. This post warms my coffee loving soul.
Thank you so much.
Enjoy
